For those rare of us who like theatrics and enjoy wider optionality, but are not sure which venue would be more entertaining, my observation tells that political arenas are higher end in this regard than, say, corporate arenas. I must admit, politicians act so smoothly that at times I almost believe them. I have even heard rumors that some people are voting for them.
In contrast, corporate actors know the performative language but the delivery often feels forced and awkward. I am not sure why, maybe it is lack of incentives or the script is unclear.
In any case, these are not your traditional theaters, so for those seeking more interactive, immersive experience feel free to join. Just don’t forget to speak their language and adhere to their mores.
When in the military, look proud when they hang the piece of metal on your uniform. In rings fight convincingly. In educational arenas, show appreciation for pieces of paper, it means something to them, so be graceful lest you offend them. In professional arenas, be generous with buzzwords. And when in Rome, do as the Romans do. Ultimately, it’s about amusement.
After all, who doesn’t enjoy observing kids passionately play Monopoly, convinced it’s real?
