People who choose to think in terms of deserving, fairness, justice can be amusing.

So — you worked hard, and you believe you deserve a raise? Enough to afford a mortgage and tie yourself to a 20-year payment ritual?

Meanwhile, someone else inherited three buildings and never had to lift a finger — much less speak the corpo-peasant dialect to be accepted.

Or take the soldier, caught in imperial theatre, seconds away from absorbing a bullet or a blast — did he deserve that?

My problem with naive and consequently deplorable people is not that they get in each other’s way with their crude ways. My problem with the situation is surprisingly Adam Smithian, self interest.

When you guys choose to subscribe to concepts such as mentioned, identity, homeland, status, ambition, honor, etc. you start slaving away and fighting battles for those who don’t. As a result, people like me need to expend extra effort, extra calories, to step away from the subsequent chaos you create.
