A distant friend of mine, Woland, is an interesting character.

When he encounters a problem, his first reaction isn’t to assess constraints or resources, gather information, formulate a strategy, or execute a plan. No—he asks a simpler question: Whose problem is this?

Even with the most deeply ingrained goals—survival, reproduction—he remains detached. He doesn’t assume those are his problems. If his vessel needs to survive or reproduce, then the vessel should figure it out.

What others might call suicide, he sees as vessel termination. If the vessel becomes annoying—too full of fear and desire—or is about to be co-opted by a stronger entity for its own goals, he would not hesitate. He’d simply exit.

Aaand, this is it for today about Woland.
Yeah, that was abrupt. It is because my ghostwriter is neither particularly energetic nor talented today, so this is all I can share for now.
